Tennis holidays & tennis vacations: plan your training trip

A tennis vacation can be a few coached sessions during a holiday, an intensive training week or a supervised junior camp. Start with the player and the programme, then arrange the trip around confirmed training dates.

Choose a holiday or a training pathway

For adults, decide how much of each day you want to spend on court. Flexible sessions leave room for sightseeing; an intensive week calls for recovery time. A full-time tennis academy with schooling is a different commitment from a short tennis holiday. Do not assume every academy offers programmes for adults.

For juniors, check the accepted ages, playing standard and supervision. A residential camp and a day camp require different family arrangements. Ask how non-playing parents or siblings can stay nearby.

Questions for the operator

  • How many coached hours and players per group are included?
  • Which language is used during training?
  • Who supervises junior players outside court hours?

Compare destinations with the programme

Use the academy and camp profiles to compare options in places such as Mallorca, Barcelona and Florida. Check the exact training venue rather than choosing only a city name. Distance from accommodation, airport transfers, court surface and indoor alternatives can affect the trip.

Official programmes illustrate the differences: Rafa Nadal Academy lists flexible and week-long adult camps; Evert lists junior camps with boarding and non-boarding options. These are programme examples, not a promise of availability on your chosen dates.

Build the full tennis vacation budget

Request a written quote in the original currency. Separate coaching and fitness from accommodation, meals, private lessons, airport transfers and optional activities. Add flights, racket baggage and local transport to your own budget. Check deposits and cancellation conditions for each booking.

A published camp series does not necessarily have a confirmed upcoming session. Use the date filters to narrow your search and confirm the exact start and end dates with the operator.

An off-season tennis holiday in Croatia

Ljubicic Tennis Academy publishes weekly off-season camps from September to mid June: half-day training from €1,050 and intensive training from €1,550. Accommodation and meals are separate. Checked on 2 October 2026; confirm your dates, availability and final quote directly.

Confirm training before arranging the journey

First confirm that the operator can accept the player for the exact programme and dates. Then coordinate accommodation and travel, allowing time for arrival and departure. Ask whether the programme includes a room or requires you to book elsewhere.

Booking and Expedia links on Tennis.Academy help you arrange travel separately. A hotel or flight reservation does not reserve a camp place. Check travel time to the training venue and the cancellation terms before paying.

Questions for the operator

  • Is training and accommodation included in one contract or booked separately?
  • What happens if the camp dates change?
  • Are arrival-day transfers and racket baggage included?
